Bio
Marshal Wang, a member of the Mensa club who loves painting and photography.
Marshal was born in China, and has lived in beautiful Christchurch for 20+ years. As a successful artist, Marshal has a highly excellent reputation overseas (mainly in China) and NZ.He has hosted 4 successful solo exhibitions thus far, 2 in China and 2 in NZ, and participated in numerous double exhibitions and group exhibitions.
The artworks of Marshal were well accepted in the art market and online market in China. Marshal is an artist from his nature. He has focused on oil painting and acrylic painting for more than 15 years.
The art style of Marshal’s works is particularly strong, distinct and contemporary, and walks freely between impressionism, expressionism and abstractionism.
Artist Statement
My artistic creation style can be summed up as idealistic flow. My creation is through rational observation. I feel the world in a perceptual way to build. The world is indeed what we feel, the universe is given meaning because of our perception, and life is given meaning because of this process. Therefore, my work is my observation of the world, my assignment of the world, my reconstruction of the world, so this reconstruction is not necessarily a simulation of reality, nor is it a representation of things, is my mind at this stage of cognitive level of thinking and feeling of the world, it is sometimes grand, occasionally tiny, occasionally exciting, occasionally dull, all from idealistic flow.
